We are now getting very close to the beginning of exam season; there are 3 weeks of tuition remaining.
Here at GCSESchool we will be running optional Mock examinations for Yr11 students.
Our English papers are unique to GCSESchool; the aim is to give each student an exam experience as close to the real GCSE as possible. Each English paper will be marked to a formal GCSE standard with clear, personalised feedback and targets for improvement.
Maths papers will be marked with an exemplar paper sent home.
There will be 2 options, in person and/or sent home electronically.
In person exams will take place from 4:30pm at Beech Hill School on:
Tuesday 5th of May
Wednesday 6th of May
Thursday 7th of May
For those who would prefer to complete the papers at home, they will be available from Monday 13 April.
Whether in person or at home; the purpose is to give students the opportunity to gain vital last-minute practice and to receive detailed feedback to take into the exam. The Maths paper will be marked and returned with a model answer booklet.
Students may sit up to three exams in the classroom, choosing from the following:
- Two English Language papers
- Two English Literature papers LITERATURE PAPER 2 WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE ON WEDNESDAY
- Two Maths papers (1 and 2)
For those who prefer to sit the exam at home, all 6 papers can be sent home. For this to be fully beneficial, it is advised that they are sat under exam conditions.

• English paper: £42.50 each
• Maths paper: £37.50 each
Electronically:
• English paper: £35 each
• Maths paper: £30 each
When papers are requested to be sent online, this will be done on completion of the payment link. Those choosing to sit the papers at Beech Hill, a link will be sent before the requested day(s).
All papers will be marked, scanned, and sent home electronically or on request they can be picked up from Beech Hill School.

GCSESchool terms and conditions
Fees – GCSESchool take weekly payments via cheque or bank transfer.
Missed lessons – If a lesson is missed we will still charge for the lesson where there are other alternative lessons taking place within that week. If you decided to cancel your child’s tuition we ask for 2 weeks notice, you are not held into a long term contract.
Health & Safety – GCSESchool takes its responsibilities for the health and safety of its students seriously. All tutors are subject to a thorough check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Fire safety – Fire prevention, precautions and equipment are reviewed and checked regularly.
Pupil arrival and collection – It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure their child attends their session on time and that they make provision for them to get home at the end of each session.
